Workforce Development Thematic Workshop - convened as a first step in addressing the Framework priority of Sustaining Workforce Development

  • Hosted by the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse
  • Thirty participants representative of the federal and provincial governments, NGOs, occupational health and safety organizations, health authorities and academia
  • Objectives:

to review the issues and challenges related to the development of the workforce dedicated to addictions treatment;

to validate the priorities for workforce development;

to develop strategies to professionalize this workforce and to support its ongoing development.
